Intellectual property law is an ever-evolving field of law in the field of intangible rights and creation. The rapid development of technology and the Internet make it imperative to continue to protect copyright, both in terms of securing and preventing infringement by third parties.
The Greek Law (Law 2121/1993), the European law with the directives and international conventions, offer a sufficient frame of protection. The office deals with copyright protection issues with the aim of the absolute and immediate protection of the copyright proprietor and related rights (creation, maintenance, advertising, exploitation, prevention of insults by third parties and claiming compensation). This protection is possible in any form of speech, art, image, computer programs (software, hardware, applications) and databases.
